Chung Yun Hoon - Part 1
In the first part of his Korean American Story, Chung Yun Hoon, born in 1930, describes his childhood and family life in China, how seeing a picture of the Empire State Building inspired him to learn English (a skill that later allowed him safe passage into South Korea), wanting to kill North Korean dictator Kim Il-sung, and hiding to avoid being drafted to fight in the Korean War.
