Jungsook Choh

Jung Sook Choh, beloved mother of KoreanAmericanStory.org co-founder Theresa Choh-Lee, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.

Ms. Choh was featured in our Legacy Project series, released on January 6, 2016.

Mrs. Jungsook Choh was born in 1935 in Uhrae-Jin, Hamkyung-Namdo, which is now in North Korea. She recalls her life immediately after the Korean Independence from Japan and the subsequent events during the Korean War which separated her younger brother from the rest of the family.
